God's Greatest Wonder

Maybe when you begin to worship it is like driving into a fog. You stumble through thoughts of what you are,who you live with and things you have to do. But when God created you; out of all the other things happening in His universe nothing mattered more than you. None of us was created on God's busy day! He took unmeasured time in his planning for your life. He was not creating just a businessman, a celebrity, a political leader or a servant in His church. Those are all just temporary assignments. When God thought about an eternal job description for you He chose child. So come to worship Him who by sending Jesus called us to be His sons and daughters.    Matt 19:14 "Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven

In the Silence

Be still and know that I am God.... Ps 46:10 At the moment when all our praise, worship or prayers fall into silence then God speaks. This is so often the moment when we feel we are done and move on. But if we linger in the presence of Jesus He will begin to speak and sing over us!! Our minds are so easily busy and filled with thoughts and plans and the pressure to live our lives like a race. Jesus is still resting by the well waiting for us to come. The moment of silence is not a silence at all; but His chance to speak into our hearts.
The words that He speaks to us will last forever. How precious are those  moments to Him!

Can you hear Him speak?

God called to him out of the bush, "Moses, Moses!" And he said, "Here I am." Then he said, "Do not come near;  take your sandals off your feet, for the place on which you are standing is holy ground. Ex 3:5

Before God was ready to speak, Moses needed to take off his sandals. We are only ready to hear God when we come to Him in complete humility and vulnerability. The place where God wants to show himself to us is the most ordinary of places on earth, but because He is there it  becomes Holy. Worship is not just our singing or our music. Worship is a place where God speaks. How long has it been since He spoke clearly like a bell ringing  in your heart?

Walking in the Light ...Faithfulness

If we walk in the light as He is in the light we have fellowship with one another and the blood of Jesus His Son purifies us from all sin 1 Jn 1:7           Worshipping is walking in the light with Jesus. As we worship we become a mirror for Jesus. The more He works and cleans our mirror the more of Him others see. To be more faithful it is not only about our effort but about our time in the presence of Jesus. Ele e sempre fiel!

Take time today in the presence of Jesus; allow his word to penetrate to your heart.

The Community of Worship

But if we walk in the light as He is in the light we have fellowship with one another ... 1Jn 1:7 Worshipping together is the beginning of walking together. When we begin to walk together in the light of Jesus he opens the door of fellowship (communhao) That is we are walking into God's community. Worship is not alone on a mountain, but is aone part of entering into God's family. The deeper our worship and fellowship in the light of  Jesus, the deeper and purer our fellowship with God's family. Let's leave behind the safeness of our aloneness and enter together into God's presence.Worship is not safe because in the arms of Jesus we meet everyone else He is holding!!

Let's Walk in the Light!!

But if we walk in the light as He is in the light we have fellowship with one another and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin. 1 Jn 1:7

When I was a teenager I loved nothing better than sleeping outside in the Summer. I would love to watch the sky as morning came closer. One by one the stars disappeared from the sky and the black night sky lightened to grey and then blue. Just before the sun peeked up from the hills there was still just one star left shining. Worship and walking with God is like this. When His light shines in the night sky of our lives and all we know fades into the brightness of His presence.Then there is just one star left and that is Jesus..the bright morning star. Let's just ask ourselves this morning. Is my love for Jesus burning brighter in my life today? Then God will tenderly draw us together into His presence and clean our hearts by the precious blood.

Leading in Worship



True worshippers are not a certain kind of people but people who worship in Spirit and in Truth. The truth of worship is that when we come into God's presence man made barriers are destroyed and we become a single new people who speak our Father's language and have new citizenship papers in a new country!! As leaders we first must see the road that leads to God's presence because we can never lead in a direction we are not walking!!

Every Nation Tribe & Tongue

There are moments in worship when we have God's eyes and see ourselves as a part of God's family around the earth. In those moments our hearts grow tender and God draws us together to be a lighthouse shining the love of  Jesus across every barrier of man.
Existe momentos em adoracao quando temos os olhos de Deus and podemos ver nos mesmos como uma parte da familia de Deus ao redor do mundo. Nestes momentos nossos coracaos ficam ternas e Deus comeca atrair nos juntos para ser um farol brilhando a luz do amor de Jesus atraves a cada barreira do homen.
